again, the family structure is important to society, i can agree with that. but when you look at the roman empire there is no way you can tell me that the decay of the family unit was the sole reason it went into decline. it may have played a part, but it wasn't the only reason why.

Maybe not the only reason but probably one that stemed off all the other reasons it declined. Plus they crucified Jesus and I bet God was still a bit pissed at the(but that is just a guess).

Being over-run by barbarian hordes likely played a part too. lol I'm sure even with a strong sense of "family values," Rome would have been fucked anyway...

I'm sure there are other examples though. and It kind of makes sense when you think about it. Kids have to be raised a certain way in order to function within society.

You could argue that Curlings daughter (just as an example) is going to grow up to be a bible thumper and a huge pain in the ass to everyone who just wants to have a good time, but the point is she'll grow up healthy and be a productive member of society (paying taxes, spending money, etc).
