Why is my IE so slow?

I try to type something in the message space here and it takes a few seconds for the words to appear. Everything is slow to load. And I cant manuver between websites too well. If I open another IE window it just gets stuck and nothing loads. I have windows 2000..Does anyone know if there is a repair for this or not? Its Just IE...everything else on the comp works fine.

Try cleaning out your cache, and also try restarting your computer and try freeing up some system resources.
