Why is my computer so fucking SLOW???

WTF is going on? My computer is fucking retarted now or something. Any time I click on anything, even the start menu, it pauses for a second or two. Its a new VAIO so I know its not that its old. I think I have a virus or to many programs running unknowingly or something.

All you computer experts out there, what can I do to get it back to normal or test out the performance??

When was the last time you re-booted it? If it's been a while then re-boot. Have you installed and un-installed lots of programs lately? if so then run a thourough scandisk and defrag the hard drive.
