why is it that when someone dies....

rnch

not a mentor

people try to make his/her "reputation" perfect, minimizing or totally ignoring all evidence to the contrary?

just because he/she no longer has a beating heart does NOT make them any better than they were last week..... :whatever:

that's why my dad didnt want a funeral/wake/memorial service, he always hated how there is no "bad dead guy" u always here people in the service saying how woderful they where and then they probably get home and talk trash..... I guess no one likes to speak ill of the dead because they aren't there anymore to defend themselves or because it's not worth it anymore.... :whatever:

well rnch, i can't understand your hated for MJ if you are talking about him so much.

but what you're talking about has to do with media anyway.
Sony will make millions releasing digitally remastered albums.

There will probably be a full-length feature film as well.

hence Media using MJ for $$$$$$

I think it's because that's the way they want to be remembered.. for all the good and the lives that people that have been touched by them..

Thus if they treat the deceased with some respect, when it's their turn, they may be granted the same gentle handling..

true, so if you get hit by a meteor next month you can rest assured I will keep it real and focus on your constant whining about not getting to mod'ed rather than your occasional coolness to some peeps.

I held the same beliefs about MJ before his death as I did after it.

I see more evidence that he was innocent and just messed up in other ways than I do that he was a molester.

we should pre-write it like the news outlets pre-write celeb obits. And then accidentally post it. See how rnch feels then.

Funny all these morons talking about how MJ is their idol....

NONE of them have MJ listed in their music section. Plenty of slipknot, disturbed, tool, jewel, bon jovi, metallica, etc. And never in my life have I EVER hear them say the name MJ in any of their conversations. And now he's like the BIG inspiration in their life and they're HUGE fans!

hahahahaha. Whatever. I'm sure they'll be buying up every tabloid, tell-all book, movie, scandal, etc. for the next 2 years eating that shit up. Reminds me of white people who claim they're hardcore rappers yet no dick about rap or 'the street'.

people are naturally pessimists.

Instead of thinking why they wont miss someone they sit there and dwell on the all the positive things out of context and beat themselves up over it.
