I think deep down they know the deal. They're just trying to justify their laziness to themselves. I'm sure they are very envious of you but lack the will power to do anything about it. So instead they lash out at active fit people in an attempt to make themselves feel better.

I eat pretty low carb and I have them right before and after workouts mostly or on carb ups.
