1) Halting drug war on marijuana

2) Taxation of legal purchases

Alcohol AND Tobacoo Industry both probably lobby VERY hard against marijuana being legal. Mary Jane would fuck the cigarette industry up pretty hard.

LOL to whoever said weed makes you lazy... asshole. No truth to that at all. It just gives someone a reason or excuse for their laziness or lack of motivation.

Other things to consider:
- Cant OD on weed like you can on alcohol
- Weed is much better for you than todays tobacco products (dont believe the propaganda commercial stats for 1 second)
- It's natural
- No long-term effects on the brain
- It's medicine (useful in helping treat AIDS, MS, Glaucoma, Nausea, Pain, Tourettes, Migraines, and all kinds of other shit)
- Studies are showing it to be neuroprotective


To whoever said it wont be legal in our lifetimes, I cant agree with you. Canada, the UK, and many other countries close to the US are rewriting marijuana laws all the time. 9 states in the US already have medicinal marijuana (with a doctors recommendation, not prescription) and it looks like more will get it soon. Nevada voted to decriminalize small possession and it narrowly lost. Progress is being made, there are just more obstacles for legalization in this country.

In order to make Marijauna "legal" this is the road map.

1. NORML needs to start spreading pac money to get a bill in that will "DESCHEDULE" marijuana from the current system. So that it's not made legal but its no longer illegal. Big distinction there.

2. State issue. Each state will then have the ability to institute laws that say yeah its leagal here or not. Much the way states now do with any product.

3. Move your ass to a state that isnt "Dry".

I disagree. If pot becomes legal, who do you think will bring it to you...that's write...Camel, Marlboro, etc. They will all open new lines for the funny lil pot cigs.

The tobacco industry is HUGE. If they wanted pot legalized, they could have it. There must be a reason they don't want it.
