Why get off steroids?

Hi guys.

I have 3 cycles behind me and after the last one I decided to start cruising on 250 mg of test e a week. That was 8 months ago. My thought process was that I dont have any sides from it (except bacne and small balls) and it's cheap. I don't worry about fertility because I didnt hear about a single case of someone remaining infertile because of steroids. My age/eight/height in not important for the discussion.

However, now I am thinking about coming off. I am felling like a druggie shotting myself every week and I am researching my pct options. And I am really suprised that PCT costs like a small cycle.

Now I am asking myself, why should I get off steroids. I feel great, I look great. It's very cheap. Yes there are drawbacks like shooting myself every week and having small balls and gains stopping, but still, other than that I can't come up with any good reason to go off, lose my gains (not all) and then hop back on and regain them.

Discuss.

this is a typical newb question I can answer it a few ways but I will try and answer it logically.. i'm sure others will chime in as well.

1. you are shutting down your own test and introducing foreign test. your natural test levels are say somewhere between 400-700 when the HPTA is functioning on average.. when you run a cycle your test levels drop into the double digits (natural test levels) and then you are adding in foreign test which you inject which brings your levels back up. so you are wasting your own bodies natural test making abilities, it would be like buying bottled water that is just tap water anyway (most bottled water is just tap water ya know) when you can drink water out of your faucet for free.

2. the longer you stay on, harder it will be to recover.. some guys never recover from long cycles. Nelson has written a lot about this and its true, just read ronc's post on his experience where he was never able to recover from a long cycle. so once you open that can of worms be prepared to stay on forever.

3. with the great supplements available today you can run 1 or 2 cycles a year that are under 10-12 weeks and be natty the rest of the year and still improve.. USE YOUR OWN TEST as much as possible.. worry about staying on once you get older and your test levels get low naturally. 45 or 50+ is when i plan on going HRT>

Age does matter in this case ........If you're in your 40's maybe you could cruise and blast but definitely not if you're in ur 20's....

False. In order for us to direct you, these things ARE important.

Carth, is that why you went on HRT, is because you could not recover or not?

That name no longer has any meaning to me. The name is Smoke now. Mr. Smoke Screen. LOL

No seriously. Yes brother that's pretty much what happened. I would do "cycles" and then come off and do PCT.

But everytime I did a PCT I never really felt normal. No matter how long I was off. No matter how agressive the pct was. I just never felt fine.

So I went back on gear and never came off. Did that for 3 year straight. And then I decided to come off and do PCT again. It didn't work. For a whole 1.5 years...it did NOT work at all.

Bloodwork confirmed that I was dead on the inside.

Now I have to make gear usage part of my life. Or else I tend to get very depressed.

the cycles you ran were too long and you used too high dosages.. am i correct or not?

I ran a deca cycle and recovered in 3 months only after I ran a 2nd PCT and threw the kitchen sink at the problem. are you sure you really ran a solid PCT?

and are you sure that you gave your HPTA enough time between cycles to recover? for some people its 6 months or even 9 months. what i see from a lot of guys is they take weeks off in between cycles, lose the motivation for the gym.. and then hop back on. that isn't cycling. I even had a guy tell me "well my testosterone is low so I'm gonna run some test and get my body jumpstarted"
