Why Don’t I see more freaks with all the gear people are taking

I think the whole genetics thing is bunk. I agree that some people are more gifted than others,, but I also believe that with hard work, almost anyone can obtain decent size. Look at the pics of Dorian yates when he was young. I would say he had anything but great genetics. He looked just like an average guy, but guess what. He had a game plan and a work ethic like no one else. I don't think he missed any meals either.

I have no idea what picture of Dorian you saw, but the teenage ones I saw he was already jacked and he did not lift. His genetics were freaky.

Genetics is not "Bunk". You just can't take anyone and turn them into Mr. Olympia. I don't care how hard you train, how well you eat and how much gear you take.

Maybe not, but I bet I can take anyone and make them fucking huge. They might not be the best in the world, but they'll be fucking close.

You can achieve A LOT with sub par genetics.

Trust me... I have seen guys and known guys that work their asses off, eat right and shoot gear and they have shitty genetics. They may hit 200 pounds, but they will never be huge... at least not at a decent body fat %.

I am not making an excuse for people, but face the facts... genetics are king. You can't change someone's bone structure or tendon size. You can hope to put muscle on their structure, but there is a limit.

because many hope for drugs to take care of everything and are too lazy to take care of the nutrition/training/resting

Yup.

I think 45% of those who train dont train hard enough.

Another 45% of those who train OVER train massively.

That leaves 10% who are in the right training range, and of those maybe 25% have their diet correct.

Given those numbers, then maybe 2.5% of the total guys who lift are in the ballpark of doing things correctly.

genetics is the MOST important factor. Genetics rule everything. What if someone told you that they could take a joe of avg I.Q. and turn him into Albert Einstein by sending him to the best colleges, having him do experiments with the most scientificly advanced technology, and giving him unlimited funds. He would be pretty fucking smart, but he would never be a leading physicst. Same goes with bbing.

What a load of crap. Ever heard of fucking WILLPOWER? WILL rules everything. TENACITY rules everything. Genetics can rule my fucking nutsack. I'll take a good diet, HARD workout routine, and an INDOMITABLE will over genetics ANY fucking day of the week, and twice on Sundays.

I am not saying that all of the things you listed aren't important, but all things being equal the guy with superior genetics is going to smoke the guy that is disadvantaged. If you don't understand that... then I have to assume you are a bullheaded moron.

By the way... I will take genetics and you can have your diet and will and hard work... see who looks better in the end. I am sure there has been many a competitor work 5 times as hard as Arnold (For example John Defendis) and it did not amount to 1/5th of Arnold's genetics.

Sorry... but the genetically gifted cream rises to the top. Even Darwin knew that.

PS. I saw some of your lifts posted on the training board and you my friend are genetically gifted... so don't worry about it. I am sure you train hard, but in the end your genetic potential allowed you to reach those weights.;)

That dogcrapp/dante guy seems pretty adamant about overcoming his genetic limitations so I don't see why others can't. I gave up trying to suggest cycles b/c nobody listens to someone who suggests such a "low" dose cycle.
