Why dont black people tip?

I worked at a few resturants and everywhere I go its always the same story. Servers hate when they get sat with a black table because they never get 15% tip. Most of the time its one or two dollars. Servers also have names for them like canadians or reggies. I guess its better than calling them ghetto people. So why dont black people tip? We make less than minimum wage and we have to pay out our earnings to the bus boys and bartenders. So when we get a crappy tip or no money at all we are working for nothing. It just pisses me off.

It was a moderatly priced resturant. Our prices are alot higher than red lobster, Ihop, KFC, Popeyes and many other places they seem to frequent. I guess they couldnt stretch this months payment any further to give out a tip. or maybe its just payback for all the years as them being servants.

I make it a point to tip 15-20% but if i get shitty service I'll knock it down. Even if it's mediocare service I give 'em 15%. So don't tell me I tip bad. I get pissed off when someone assmes shit about me because I am black or that I frequent only place like Popeyes, Ihop and KFC. So there.

And then, some 17-18yr old wanna be rough asses had a 50$ bill and gave me no tip. These little wiggas sitting there thought they were all tough and shit. Turns out these fuckheads are from my town and one of them likes my sister. So....when one of them happens to come by one day (which i hope they do) I will grab the kid by his neck and throw him into my brick wall. Then i'll slap him for lookin at my sister.

When your 21, in college and need a part time job working your oddly available hours serving/bartendings is one of your only few options.

With people like you who already have a predetermined idea that someone won't tip, you probably didn't approach them and serve them the best you could thus you didn't deserve a good tip. I know, I know, you served them the same as anyone else, blah, blah, blah.

Many black people that work in restaurants will agree on this.

I worked at an X-mas tree lot one X-mas in High school, we worked only on tips. The majority of the workers were black and Mexican, we ALL would scatter when a black family approached. Not only did they usually NEVER tip us, they would work us harder than any other customer. Usually they would spend most of the time bitching about the price of the tree.

This thread is quite ignorant in my opinion. All of these so called circumstances could be applied to anyone and any race. Putting an entire race aside and calling them out in such a juvenile fashion is not respectful and shows that ones thoughts were obviously scattered when this thread was created. peace
