Why do you think Jam-Master Jay was murdered?

I don't think anyone knows yet. Funny how the killer had to be buzzed in, but no one has a description for what the guy looked like other than "white jump suit, mask." I hope they are talking to whoever it was that buzzed him in. That person either knows what the guy's face looks like from letting him in, or he buzzed in a person wearing a mask after being threated with the gun. Messed up though. It was cool to see Jay-Z wearing a RUN DMC shirt on Saturday Night Live.

I think the guy that got shot in the leg knows something. He probably told the killer to hit him to make it look realistic. I don't know JMJ, but he seemed to be a really cool positive guy.

As for the original question on this thread, I dont think there was any real motive. Chances are it was just random violence or maybe a robbery gone wrong. Still, a very sad day for Rap.
BTW, the tabloids are like "It was part of an East Coast/West Coast rap war" aka "something that ended about 4-5 years ago.

I could never figure out "Why" these rappers, after making it big, and attaining tremendous wealth and fortune in the business of music, would still play ",Boys-In-The-Hood," bullshit games with guns and weapons killing eachother?...These guys aren't mobsters....Far from it.
These guys really need a wake up call. If you grew up in poverty, ok...fine. You did what you had to do to survive, in the past... But, if you had made you fortune afterwards,...just move out of your shithole area, move to a nice area and act like a normal human being minus the guns, and bullshit games.These guys actually think they are bigtime mobsters or something...Not. Never be like the real Italian mobsters, which that they try to follow in videos ect... At least Italians have half a brain and try to keep some sort of check on their activities.

All these guys seem to do is get themselves into trouble, and then it's a mystery to everyone why they killed anyone. They are just dumb. Also, obviously & more importantly, too dumb to reallize they have a good thing going now that they have made a fortune... I don't feel sorry for them. I'm glad i live in a nice area away from that bullshit. Just look at the statistics. 1 out of every three. Seems to be a pattern for violence, & incarsiration going there, for a particular segment of some of today's youth in America....
They ruin their own lives.

They already know who killed 2Pac, a crip named Orlando Anderson. He shot 2Pac using a Glock, which was apparently obtained from Notorius B.I.G.
You can download the video of 2Pac his posse beating down Orlando Anderson in the lobby of a casino the night he was killed.
The reasoning for the beating was that Orlando or one of his associates had ripped off the Death Row pendant of one of 2Pacs friends. At the time, Bad Boy had put a "bounty" on the pendants, and would pay $10000 to anyone who could get one.
Once Orlando got beat down, his gang decided to kill 2Pac for revenge. However, they knew about the beef between him and Biggie (who didnt?) and decided they might as well profit from it. They went to B.I.G. and said they'd do it for $1million. He agreed, then gave OA his gun, saying something to the effect of "I want my gun to be the one that kills him".
The reason it took over 5 years for this all to emerge is the fact that after the shooting, few people from Death Row wanted to answer questions and of course, OA and his Crip friends dont want to associate with the police. Shortly after Pac was killed, Orlando was killed in an unrelated gang incident.
