How many of you guys, really have a routine for forearms only? How often?

It seems to me that not too many guys have a specific routine for forearms..

I have to admit, that I only do once a week, at the most, reverse curls ..

How about you guys?

I masturbate at least once a day. And besides, switching hands makes it feel like someone else is doing it.

The thread was about forearms.

The way I see your routine, by stroking your genital organ, you will get a schlong workout rather than forearm.

I do a few things for forearms.. .but let me tell you, after back day, my forearms are PUMPED... after my shoulder day... my forearms are pumped. I really don't need to do a whole "regime" for them. I might grab a pair of 110's or 120's and just hold onto them as long as I can or do a couple sets of reverse curls. Other than that... fuck it... no need.

A lot of my events requre a strong grip and I never wear straps...

my forearms are naturally big, i do 3 set with biceps every other week, about it...your forearms are used a lot every single day, especially working out in the gym. if i ever decide to compete, that's when i might work them a little harder.

i think it's crazy when there is guys just starting out in the gym, skinny, young, etc..and there in the gym for 45 min working just forearms...i think that is crazy....your forearms get bigger, and strengthens as you go up in weight with other exercises.

I dont have a specific routine for forearms. I am going to get some Captains of Crush grippers, though.

I also never use straps. :D

try this

This is a killer forarm workout. Pull a bench up next to one of thise pully cable things. attach the short straight bar to the clip and put it down all the way. Sit on the bench grabbin your bar with wrists hangin off your knees. Do 3 sets of reverse wrist curls then 3 sets of wrist curls. do dropsets and stuf with them. After that you wont be able to drive home.

If/When we train forearms, we do this:

Haha, not using straps is prob the best way to develop them. Aside from that I do hammer curls and sometimes dumbell holds, once in a while throw in some wrist curls.

I don't use straps on anything. Thats my forearm routine

If I can't grip it, I don't lift it.

When I tried starting a seperate routine for forearms, it was overtraining. They began to become painful, similar to shin spints, but in the forearm.

Spatts, both my old Ju-jitsu and Kali instructors used to make us do those. They burned pretty damn bad after a while:)

No straps &:

After back, I do three sets of regular and reverse wrist curls. I superset them and do a drop set for each at the end.

I'm not big by any stretch of the imagination, but I have heard "Popeye" arms a couple times (I wear loose tees so you usually can't see my upper arms, especially as I'm sitting and working my forearms which is when they really pop out).

All you guys/gals that say you never use straps, does this include doing heavy shrugs as well?

yep, that's right no straps. I never work forearms directly since I do heavy deads, cleans, rows, and shrugs. I have never had aproblem since I decided no to use straps last years thanks to some members on the boards

Well...I guess. I don't do shrugs though...

Yep. The only time I would use straps was when I finished up shrugs with a set of 12-15 reps. At that point, the weight was moderately heavy, but my grip was shot from the previous sets (at least as far as any endurance goes).
