Keep in mind something....I have a 3 yro lil girl's world that I try to censor to the best of my ability. So, with that...it's a best practice for me not to curse or say inappropriate things that might filter to her. She's quite impressionable ya know. Besides, I'd much rather her call someone a "bobo/gomer" (go mom) than a "shit for brains". (of course, name calling is bad altogether people) :worried:

By "filter" you mean that she might actually see any of this?

I don't think she reads these posts.......does she?

The only drawback to "censoring" your daughter's world is the possibility of culture shock when she finally sees how cold the world can be. Eventually she'll be exposed to the outside world and it's harsh realities.

DIV by filter I can understand EXACTLY what HH is getting to. Maybe her daughter doesn't read the board.. of course not but by making it a habit to speak with lude language it carries over to your everyday life. You can't shelter your kids from 'life' but you can teach them that thier 'role model' doesn't do these thing. Who will they most want to imitate? Mom and Dad of course... If She's constantly cursing etc.. then I promise you that 3 year old will pick that up faster than any other english word.

True. I think it's admirable that she's being a positive role model for her daughter.

Thanks for clarifying.

Wouldn't surprise me if she were logged in to EF from the daycare right now. Girly girl is smart. And swears she has bigger muscles than me...so she's probably taking notes.

I am well aware of what "sheltering" a child can result in...for sure. However, at 3....she's still got a few more years before the big world gets to her. Trust me, some of the things she brings home from school from the other little people....would blow you away. Freaks me out what kids are picking up these days....at such early ages. In fact, last night in the grocery store, she pointed at "People" magazine and said, "oh, that's jessica simpson mommy, she's better than britney spears". :worried:
