Why the hell do relatives always ask why your single? This is one thing I hate about going to family functions... I am only 24 I didn't know I had to have a boyfriend.
 
I have to deal with it. I always get asked if I'm going to get married soon. Damn, I can't even keep a girl for more than a couple of weeks, how do they expect me to get married.
 
do what I do and pretend you have no family : ) that way you get annoyed a lot less.

I get the same everytime I go home.........last year my aunt tried to set me up with my cousin lmao.

RADAR, photo-shop will not remove the bra. They have a perfect shape, but without knowing if her nipples are perfect, you can't justly give them a 10. Its just not right.
 
It never ends dayna. They always asked me "When you gettin married?" When I finally did, They started asking "When you having kids?" lol

Then I had a daughter, Now they ask "When`s the boy coming?" lol It NEVER ends. I guess it`s just naturl "small talk" on their part, I would`nt worry about it.
 
What really sucks is when they hound you about when you're getting married. It makes me dread going to family events.

They tease us because they love us!
 
My family doesn't do it, but all my married friends do. I HATE when people assume I have the rush to get married and have children simply because that is what they did!

If her boobs are that big they are way bigger than mine am a 34DD but they shrinking a bit now that I am cutting. I don't mind as long as they don't get smaller than 34 D.
 
My mom gives me shit sometimes. It is just one of them societal influences that isn't going away anytime soon. They place sole validity on your ability and willingness to have a family
 
My relatives pulled that shit with me during x-mas. I told everyone that I'd shoot myself before I got married, and the thought of having children made me want to gouge out my eyes.

Nothing like a long, drawn out silence to set the mood for the holidays.

and part of my family is chinese and fuck they make you feel guilty for still being singe
i remind them that i have been married before and they shake their heads
i say i am dating someone
they ask when we are getting married
i say we are not serious
they shake their heads
i say i work too much
they shake their heads and say tsk tsk


now since both my parents have passed on i refuse to do the family thing anymore
they can go shake their heads til the farging things fall off

in my culture when youre male, in your mid 20s and in nice shape, you get weighed up by every wannabe matchmaker in town, who try to hook you up with everything between 17 and 30 years old

i fucking hate the phrase "we have to find you a nice girl" :mad:

Most of my cousins are marriedwith kids by 25. I'm 39, single and have never gotten anyone pregnant. You should see the looks I get at family reunions. They probably think I'm one of those "funny people".
 
GD, I know I get that shit too. "I know a nice veternarian in Baytown...." WTF? I live in College Station, its over a 2 hour drive. If I can't make anything workout with the 50,000 plus hot chicks who live within 20 miles of me, what makes them think a long-distance relationship will work. Even here, while visiting in Michigan for a week, my aunt is trying too hook me up with girls. "this girl Kelly I work with..." Damn over 1000 miles...

I say, fuck it. If you actually give a rat's ass about what your family expects of you, then you will never live a happy life.

I Love them, enjoy their company and friendship but they generally don't give me much grief because I have made it quite clear that I don't appreciate their intrusions or pressures.

A for the rest of the world, they can get bent. Life has many meanings to many different people but I think allowing others to live vicariously through you is not one of the objectives.
