Why do so many people have a fear of clowns?

Anyone ever see that movie "Killer Klowns From Outer Space" its awesome, came out in the 80's. The makeup/costumes are amazing. I remember watching it as a kid and it is what made me afraid of clowns. A good watch if you are afraid of clowns, although cheesey now still entertaining.

i am terrified of clowns and i think i know why.


my grandmother took me to the circus when i was 5 or 6. it was awesome, to say the least. the elephants, the lion tamer,
the trapeze act.....my little mind was awash in cotton candy and music and all the wonderment that the circus brings.
when the show was over we walked to our car and as my grandmother opened the driver side door, a clown leaped
from the back seat and butchered her with a machete. i stared in horror as i watched the blood jettison
from her withered neck. i'm just guessing here but i think this might be the reason for my fear of clowns

let me explain why I frown on clowns (hahaha yes intended). We just had a convention at my place of hell employment. Their were a lot of clowns there. And I saw them with make-up, and without make-up. It was the eyes. Their eyes..... uh.... man they have a strange stare some of them. I don't like it. It makes me wanna pop them upside the face ya know. He was a clown that did the balloon twisting. It's a long story and I have some lazy shit happening to me so I will post up tomorrow.
