Why do pro bodybuilders look so old?

True, those pros have to go tanning alot more than you should and those UV Rays are no joke most of these pros the ones that have a white ass face and black ass body not even tan but literaly looks burnt. You know what I'm talking about. Those guys are going to have some wrinkled ass skin as they age. But of course if there a good enough BB I'm sure they have the money and sources to get something done about that too.

Ah at the risk of appearing hypocritical, the drugs age people, sorry,

Look at anyone that takes drugs or booze of any kind for an extended period of time

They simply look old.

Go to an AA meeting you will see guys in their 30’s that look 60

However, I will countinue to to my cycles just more growth and test in the future, since I am 52

Cutler looks young.

Well.. I suspected he was older then 28-29? correct me if I'm wrong, but he still looks young IMO.

Tanning.

Low fat and water content under the skin during photo sessions.

Plus, we equate "paper thin skin" with age. Think about older people .... they have that thin-skin look. When Pros diet down and drop water for a contest ... they get that look.

All quite obvious when you think about it.

Riker is right, its their low bodyfat and paper thin skin for comps, that makes them look old. When they balloon up in the offseason, they look young again.

steroids make you look old? How is that?

Excessive amounts of androgens cause your body to make collagen wrong. Collagen is the connective tissue that makes up tendons and ligaments and makes the skin elasticy and young looking. That is why pros look old, tons of gear all the time. This is also why they tear things often, they are so strong and their connective tissue is weakened by serious gear use. Of course GH helps counteract both the negative effects of gear on skin and connective tissue, but it's not enough usually.

Of course tanning hurts their skin too in the long run and the thinning and balding of their hair makes them look older too.

most guys are in there mid 30s right?not saying thats old at all,,but its not considered "young"

That was my reaction...That's the same age I was thinking, it's not like they are in their early 20's...

First off, these guys are not young. Coleman is like what, 38?! Taylor is 45, Cormier is 35 or so, etc, etc. They aren't young men. Victor Martinez, and Cutler look younger, but they are, in their 20's.

On another note, Arnold looks pretty damn good for being 54, going on 55 July 30th. He looks like he is in his late 30's, early 40's, and has the body of a 20 year old. And he tanned more than these guys! He was always at the beach. But maybe that has to do with his genes more than anything....

genetics tanning, drug abuses aas and coke. I been doing cycles 18 yrs and have a thick head of hair and always told I look younger than 33.

yes I was 15 when I did my first cycle and did 1or3 each yr since. Good bloodpressure also....

everyones differnt stresses in life, kids, bills , divorice, leagal troubles, parting habits make people age, people who don't worry much and eat well tend to age well...

A few kids a crazy lifesyle (90% of women) will age ya fast...
:D

sun and massive amounts of AS all year long for multiple years. That much hormones in the system HAS to fuck shit up. I mean they take a major amount of stuff.
