Why do different kinds of people like different kinds of music?

Obviously most people have more than one type of music they like, but does a particular like of one genre say something about the person?

If anybody could shed some light on this, especially on different genres I would be very happy

One of my music teachers said it is the melody that draws certain people to certain types of music. I like everything-I can get used to almost any type of music.

i go through stages of what I listen to more.
Goes from Rap to Techno to Rock to Hard Rock, just depends on my mood.
I can appreciate most types of music cept for Country.

Well, I can! It was after I took the music classes that I started liking more types of music. I took music classes to help me with choreography-and to be able to recognize music phrases and notes and so on. But when you listen to the radio all day, like when you go on a trip to a city that is two hours a way, if you just like only what is popular, you will end up hearing the same songs over and over. After about 25 times hearing the same songs, it gets borring. No matter how good the songs are. And when you are in a show, the dancer is not going to always like the songs choreographer chooses. and the dancers will hear it 2500 times. Under these conditions, it is a good idea to be able to adapt.

First of all, you do not know what I listen to. If the type of music or the variety of music someone else listens to bugs the shit out of you, then you are very easily disturbed. It must be real difficult for you to get through the real problems in your life. Yes, I can listen to almost anything playing, and I can usually find something I like about it-so get over it.
