I went to high school with her husband. Actually, I guess you could say I went to high school with her as well but we didn't know each other then. We work for the same company now. She's in the HR department and she was the one that got the job for me. We worked together at a previous job. Unfortunately, she was already engaged when I first met her. She's so sweet to me. I'm not used to women being real friendly towards me. Oh well, maybe there's another girl like her that's still single.

I'm glad she's nice to you but it would be best if you could let go of wishing she could be yours...otherwise you might miss some attainable woman who comes along because you're just thinking about her...

It's somewhat relative, I do know that...in that most people won't be nice to you unless you are nice to them...so if you are nice, you might find that suddenly the world has a lot more nicer people in it than you realized...that wasn't specifically directed at you though plifter...I wasn't inferring you aren't nice...I don't know you...

Helen, I try to be nice to everyone I meet. I'm just a very shy, stoic, and unemotional person and I think a lot of times people mistake me for being rude. I've been working on these problems. I see a shrink and take meds for social anxiety. I have been a bit better the past year.
