Name another state in the US!! And I'll list a reason....

Hey, it may not be the best reason, or make sense, or even be really that interesting, but I'll post it...... :coffee:

deleware is the best state to incorporate in if you are gonna put together a company. Less liability for owners that way.

Smoking laws..... After much debate (and after DE already did it) NY voted in 2003 to ban smoking from bars & restaurants, first in the city, and then in the entire state......In one famous incident, a bouncer in a NY nightclub was stabbed to death after telling a patron to put out the but...

Why DE is better: No stabbings...Simple as that.....When Delawareans got upset w/the law, they protested an event the governor was attending.....And no stabbings....

Delaware is closer to everywhere else you'd rather be.

What about California?

Fowl Fights.....

More turkeys are raised in CA than in any other state in the US....

Why DE is better: DE raises chickens....Lots & lots of chickens.....Poultry growers & processors employ more than 7,000 people in DE producing more than $494 million worth of chickens each year.....

So if the DE Blue Hen & a turkey were to get into a fight...the Blue Hen would win, being a naturally fighting bird. So point being, turkeys are wusses....

Delaware is best becuase of Hot Cocoa!? ;)

Florida: Lightning strikes.....

The US city with the highest rate of lightning strikes per capita is Clearwater...

Why DE is better: The likelihood of an injury related to a lightning strike is a lot lower in DE....from 1959 to 2003 lightning killed 3,696 ppl in the US, 425 of that in FL and FL has had at least 2,000 people injured due to lightning strikes....

I'm not 100% sure, but I think DE is the only state with a Chancery court.....very helpful for businesses....

whats the weather like in delaware?

Right now it's partly cloudy and around 80 degrees or so....kinda nice....cool, not really humid....

I'm sitting out on my back deck (I live in an inner city) in 'da hood, listening to all the urbanites get busy & I'm having some beers & snacks.....

still not convinced....

whats the weather like in the winter time?

The winter is a bitter mix of sludgy, icey shit storms from hell and the occassional mountain of snow.

People here can't drive in the rain, much less the snow. If this area gets 4 inches a state of emergency is declared.

The ocean is a balmy 68 - 72.

In the winter it really, really varies.....some winters are very warm, like about 2 years ago the whole winter was about 50 degrees, then last year we got 2 feet + of snow......sometimes it's cold, sometimes not.....

We usually get hit by the coastal storms coming north, but when the storms come from the west they break up over the PA mountains and dont' make it here...

I don't know anything about the ocean temps cuz I never go to the beach...

Didn't mean to piss you off making the Hot Cocoa joke. :)
Yeah the lightning is really bad here in FLorida. Hard to avoid when there are thunder storms everyday during the summer!

Jersey is bestest, cuz I'm here

It should be blatantly obvious why DE is better than Jersey, but here goes....

Category: Spooky mausoleum stories.....NJ has a website: www.weird-nj.com and if you go there, you will find a story about the Tomb of the 12 nuns, which isn't really scary at all and has nothing really to do with nuns at all....

However, DE's mausoleum stories are truly spooky......Last summer, grave robbers stole the skull of a woman related to the Dupont family and in Nov 2002 thieves broke into a crypt at the Wilm. Riverview Cemetary and stole the skull of Hannah Graham.....

So, DE doesn't need some fancy website to attempt to make our mausoleum's scary....

(this was a kind of dumb one IMO)

Category: Statehood

Arkansas was among several states & regions purchased from France for a little less than $4 million as part of the Louisiana purchase

Why DE is better: DE was here first and not purchased from another country......DE was the first of the original 13 states to ratify the Constitution
