this is my opinion on marriage
I think that marriage means that you truly want to spend your life with someone.......but also truly belonging to someone else. I just feel like marriage is the ultimate commmitment to show someone that you intend to do all those things with the other person...and that you want to be with them forever

no its not about money or whatever....its about sharing something with the person that you love

Thats all well and good except society no longer views marriage as the ultimate commitment anymore with all the easy ways to get a divorce. If marriage were the ultimate commitment then there would be a long difficult process to get a divorce and something like no-fault divorce wouldnt even exist. If it were the ultimate commitment then couples would have to go through a strenous screening process in order to get married, then once married it would be near impossible to get a divorce. But that isnt the case now is it? If you want an example of what society deems a commitment then check out what it takes to leave a commitment like the CIA or military.
