Why all the Karma threads????????

What do you get for karma? Besides your name listed as the "Elite Karma Getters".

Just wondering what the craze is and why I am missing it. I give karma out but not frequently. It seems if you ask for karma and then get some, then you give it back to the person that gives it to you. Is it like trading money or something.

Do you get to be a mod if you are top 10 Karma Getter for 3 months straight. Help me out here please.

What I find amusing is how I'm near the top 10 or top 15 or whatever in karma despite the fact that I don't karma-whore. Karma whoring kind of makes the system pointless.

Well shit, if "hit me with some karma and I'll hit ya back" is worthwhile, then I should be bombarded with karma for my "why is my pool cue's friction so high?" post.
