Who's been to the Dakotas?

Have you ever thought about attending grad school at the University of Oklahoma?

You can get the cheapest tuition rates in the Big-12. Right now, I am paying around $98 dollars per graduate hour.

University of Oklahoma has a really nice law center.

Norman is a really nice town.

usd is 30 mins away from me. they have a decent law school. very cost effective in that regard. i would reckon it to be better than und's program

I'm probably not smart enough to go there though ;) Hopefully I can get into somewhere a little closer to NC (NC, SC, VA, GA, maybe even AL) but if not I'd like to spend some time in the plains, from Montana or Dakotas all the way down to Oklahoma. I'm a big fan of low population density too :)

USD and UND are attractive because:
1) they're in the plains
2) they have pretty low standards (they take the same # of students as many Southern public schools but have a smaller population and less out of staters because there isn't much night life when its 25 degrees below zero in January.)

Nebraska has a picture of thier football stadium on thier Law webpage, but I guess you have to brag about what you've got?

The University of Oklahoma does have high admission standards. . .more for undergrads than grads in my opinion. As long as you have above a GPA above a 3.00, reasonable GRE scores, and good credentials/letters of recomendation. . you can get in.

Seriously think about it. . cost of living is cheap and there are plenty of plains around Norman.

if you're thinking about neb, check out uno or creighton. creighton is pretty high priced and they have a bit higher standard. but very good program. i haven't heard much about unl's program

Other than maybe the Colorado area, this is a great area for natural wonders..

Yosemite, Grand Teton's etc are close by...

No!! Don't even mention South Dakota...

I just got back from a week long business trip there...and have to head back there again tomorrow...

Hmmm...I have visited there in the summer, and enjoyed it. But I would never want to live there...

Because ?

I admit its 95% nothingness interrupted by 5% unbelievable natural beauty..
