Whole Wheat Pasta Rotini

Just picked this up a minute ago and I'm about to try it out. I remember from the brown rice thread people said pasta had no fiber....check out the nutritional breakdown of this:


Serving size: 2 oz
Total Fat 1g

Total carbs: 42g
Dietary Fiber: 6g
Sugars: 1g

Protein 6g



So what ya think? Bodybuilder friendly? I would say so......you? Got to eat something besides these damn oats
 
1 lb of 92% lean meat, 1 cup low carb garlic marinara sauce (1 g of sugar), and 2 cups of pasta.......I think I'm in heaven
 
very good stuff. i love having pasta once a week or so.
 
Whole wheat pasta has the tendency to taste like mostened cardboard. Good luck.
 
make sure you boil it a lot :) It does taste very different but yoiu get used to it
 
Careful. many whole wheat products are masked "processed" foods.......does it say "unbleached" or does it say "100% whole wheat flour/grain"?
 
this shits great,it comes in a box right?

I buy a mix which you add olive oil to and its a sundried tomato sauce,it makes that stuff heaven

Here's the ingrediants, they didn't look too bad which is why I bought it:

Enriched Semolina (Contains semolina, niacin, iron, Thiamin Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic acid)

Wheat bran, wheat fiber, wheat germ


So what's the concensus?
 
I love WW pasta!! I think it's good taste wise & nutritionally...
 
Wheat pasta sucks nads. It is better tasting than oats though. After the intitial excitement of it being healthier and brown, you realize it tastes like dirt and turds and stop eating it. Or at least I did.

Well, I'm not eating it plain. Ground beef and this fuckin awesome low carb garlic marinara sauce....I can mostly just taste the meat and sauce....
 
I feel you brotini. It should be tolerable under those conditions. I just made such a kickass batch of spaghetti that I'm pretty particular.
 
I toss chicken with it and some ranch dressing. Been having that about twice a day now for a week.
 
2 ounces dry = how much dry in cups?

someone said 1/4 of a cup on the diet board. Is that true? that seems really low.

I think it's about 1 cup cooked.....
