Whole Milk

is Whole milk good to drink when bulking?? I drink about 4 glasses a day sometimes more.. is this bad? Im 6'1 145 pounds flat stomach and trying to gain lots of muscle so i drink lots of milk for the 8 grams of protein per serving is this good or should i switch to skim.
 
Okay my main issue though is if im gonna be getting to much fat since theres 8 grams in a cup.. I definetly got a speedy metabolism
 
If you have a fast metabolism then whole milk is an excellent protein source.Toss in a couple of scoops of whey powder,and you have a nice,time-released protein combo.

Dude your 6'1" and 145...... You need to eat pure butter, pure milke and alot of it.:rolleyes:

Well, that might be SLIGHTLY exagerated, but you certainly do need to comsume a large quanity of calories. Milk is a wonderfull source of protein, however the fat in it isn't bennificial. It's mostly saturated fat which isn't good for any physique no matter what body type and metabolism you have. Skim milk is preferable. All the protein and none of the fat. Cutting the fat out cuts the calories out so you will have to make them up elswhere in your diet.
 
If you digest milk well -- no problems with gas, lactose intolerance, etc. -- then milk is a superb source of protein. I use skim, but if you're 6'1" and 145 Lbs. you should DEFINITELY be drinking whole milk. Clearly your fast metabolism needs the extra calories.

Milk mixed with George's vanilla Triple Threat powder is really good. Try it.

People of Mediterranean or African ancestry are often lactose intolerant, but if you aren't, go for it!
 
you you deff need to put some wieght on, look for muscle-l-blast wieght gain, its what i use...it has 2000+ calories a serving and its only 15$
 
no problem with milk... can drink it all day and no trouble digesting it.. i have no african or mediterranian in me so that probably explains it ;). Well looks like the concensus is for the time being i should continue drinking whole i guess.
 
I certainly like the idea of whole milk and protein powder better than those damn sugar loaded weight gain powders(they arent so bad for breakfast or post-workout). Fortunately I am not a hardgainer.
 
Milk is good.. especially for you.. but I would drop down to 2%. Whole milk is just a little extreme on the saturated fat.

2000+ calories per serving!!?!?! where the hell can i get some of that.

and is that 15$ per serving? if so then it gets EXTREMELY expensive to have a serving every day

I would suggest you stay away from whole milk. The fats aren't even the good ones. Use 2%. Add in oils (flax, Udo's, etc.) for extra calories instead.
