in the workplace is full of S#$!. I go into work and see two little kids running around. I started wondering when we started hiring 3 year olds. Well, it turns out this woman couldn't find a sitter, so she brings her two brats to work with her. She then spends the entire day chasing them around the office and telling them to shut up while the rest of us suffer from headaches as the monsters start screaming. She did absolutley ZERO work except for taking care of her kids.
This other girl spends half of her day taking cigarette breaks and the other half screaming at her ex-husband on the phone. What would happen if a man did this? There ass would be in the unemployment line real fast. Women's Lib MY ASS!!!

Your workplace sounds so similiar to mine.
We have a girl that brings her kids at least once a week.One women spends all her time on the phone talking to who knows how many different guys.Some women have there boyfriends come and hang out for pretty much their entire shift.Lets see,our boss who is female spends the majority of her time arguing with her boyfriend on the phone.Its ridiculous!! The saddest part is that our office manager will not say anything about this for fear of a sexual harrasment suit being filed against him.It happened to our last office manager, he was canned when all the women teamed up against him and made him look like the bad guy.

I find that most annoying.

We've let go staff for such problems, the bring of the kid(s) to work, leaving work to escort child from school to camp or dance recital, excessive personal phone use (work phone and cell simultaneously) and smokers will not be hired.

As for the smoking thing, they usually have some other characteristic that makes the not worthy of hiring or training.

I am a female, I am also single.

So I do all the work, I do all the filling in when so-and-so has a family function, or yet another wedding to attend. It is assumed that I have no life and clearly enjoy working every chance possible and to stay as late as possible any given night. Hell, why not - you don't have a kid and husband to go home to - there's no one at home that needs you to be there.

So don't go boo hoo hoo-ing for yourself as a man - I'm a women and have to deal with the same situations and same bullshit. I work as hard as any man and can do the same job (specifically mine) as well as if not better than any man.

Maybe you guys just got the shit end of the stick. I work in an industry that employs many women, and for the most part they are hardworking and underpaid. I feel for them, because more often than not their job is more physically demanding than mine but i make twice the money that any one of them makes even though some of them have been with the company twice as long as I. Then as far as the child thing goes - next time you get the chance ask one of them women if their husband does anything to help that situation out. More often than not I believe you'll find their so-called partner either doen't help raise the children, or he's such a bum that he's not even around any longer. Try raising a family by yourself - then you can complain what women do and don't do. just my 2 cents worth.
