I'm on 42nd and Madison. A building blew up about 20 blocks north, on 62nd and Mad. I saw smoke everywhere. Shit, I even heard it from the 40th floor. Crazy shit.

A four-story building exploded, collapsed and burned in New York City this morning, fire officials and witnesses told CNN. At least five people were injured. Witnesses told CNN they saw "bloody people" leaving the building after the blast. NYC Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta said a gas explosion appeared to cause the building collapse.
