Jubei...so you want your arms and thighs to be the same size? Come on people I think Arnold did alot for the sport, but I flinch everytime I see his lower body. Its like come on bro, do some squats or leg presses instead of curls every now and then...

Who's body type would I like to have most? Bob Paris. The guy had an absolutely perfect body.
 
I would be too busy admiring my beautiful 22.5 inch guns to worry about my thighs, oh and maybe counting my money. Most current bodybuilders look ugly as shit with legs the size of my waist and GH guts spillin over their pants. Shawn ray or flex wheeler are probably the 2 most aestetically pleasing bodies in the sport today. Bob paris does have a solid body, I will not deny that, but arnold is the man.

Yeah Big Fed you get me. Some people say Shawn Ray is too small. Too small for what?? The guys body is pretty well flawless. The reason I chose arnold was because it is the only goal that is even attainable to those of us who aren't going to turn our bodies into a walking pharmacy.

i'm a yates fan myself (and ray fan too)..... i thought shawn ray looked good enough to win the O a few times even though he was "so much smaller". i bet i get more girlies with shawn rays body than with yates! ;) as well people would be just as impressed with his size up close and personal as they would with yates, but ray would be more pleasing to the eye even if he weighed less.
 
I saw Gunter at the Arnold this year & got a pic with him, that is one big mofo. In comparison, I also had a pic taken with Ronnie. I can't wait to see him at a ripped 310 this year.

Arnold should be proud that his body has held up through the years even though things are much easier now with Synthol, Insulin, and Growth.

Arnold has a PERFECT body, clean, good looking, small waist, big chest. He was strong, intelligent, and had a great personality and a full head of hair to boot. No bodybuilder can touch him past or present except maybe some of the other legends like Sergio, Ferrigno, and Zane.

I truely believe if Arnold did not have the chest he had we may have never heard of him. There is no doubt in my mind the Columbo should have won the Mr.O in Africa in "pumping iron".
Next time you watch "Raw Iron" look at Arnold's legs when he is walking around doing an interview with some guy. While they may have been big next to the untrained eye but BB's know they looked unproportionant.

Kevin Levrone Hands down he is the uncrowned MR Olympia.
Yates if his bicep tear was not so evident.
Flex Wheller he has the small joints with huge muscle bellies.

I saw hem at the Dutch GrandPrix last year, standing next to me in his posingtrunks. He had an awsome body! Not that freaky.. but still huge!
 
Arnold won the 75 Olympia hands down. Franco was just a mini version of Arnold that year.

The athletic thighs, and big calves were how it was back then. It wasn't about monster thighs that make you look like you would catch fire if you walked.

Arnold walking around in the outtake, this was shot before the Olympia. Arnold was still only 210lbs from shooting a movie then. He was getting into shape at that time. Adding muscle. His legs looked much better come contest time.

As for Arnold just having a chest, I wish I knew what crack you are smoking. Obviously you've NEVER seen pics of him in 73 and 74, which in reality were his 'prime' years. He was so much more MASSIVE than in pumping iron. He could hold a cup of water on the top of his pecs. His thighs were at least 3 inches bigger. Back wide as a barn. I love my chest, it blows up prettyy good, but my arms and shoulders are proportionate. My legs are not neglected, but are not as big as my upper body, thats definatly genetics though, if you saw my bro and dad legs you would understand.

The 75' O Franco was much more proportionant than Arnold. While his chest may not have been as big, his abs were better, his back was just as good and his legs and calves were much better than arnold.

Franco said it himself, Arnold is taller which is why it will benefit him. If franco was a few inches taller or the judges weren't all over Arnold's dick Franco would have won.

Also I never said all Arnold had was a chest, I said if it weren't for his chest which was his best feature, we never would have heard much of him. He would be in the Lou Ferrigno category, a great BB but never a Mr. O.

Those pics are ones I have never seen and he is definatly bigger but that was 73' not 75' and he won 75' on his reputation. It was cleary a popularity contest.

I can't find any flaws with Chris Cormier. That's my idea of perfection. Arnold in his prime came close. Runners up would be Frank Zane with a bit more thickness to his glutes and hams, or Shawn Ray with a bit less ab thickness.
 
Francos calfs better than Arnolds? Thats a laugh. Best calfs on stage that day. And let's not get silly and say he has implants. Many doctors have said an implant that perfect, that looked like that was simply not availible back then. Infact when it comes to best calfs in magazine polls, Arnold still wins hands down. That along with his show stopping biceps and pecs will always be known as the best in bodybuilding of all time.

This is turning out just like I predicted days ago, Arnold and Frank Zane.

Its a shame in this day of "Freaky Mass" that people like Zane are overlooked. IMHO he looked like a Statue, probably on sheer aesthetics one of the best there ever was.

I agree. Zane's physique is attainable even if you're not a genetic freak on tons of gear. He has an aesthetically pleasing look which is a realistic goal. I'm not looking to compete ever, but having Zane's body in day to day life would be great. My goal is to have slightly thicker legs than him though.

I personally think zane looked like a pussy, although I'm sure alot of ppl on this board would disagree. I don't think he's even close to serge nubret.
 
Zane was actually bigger than Serge. Serge was 6' 200lbs, Zane was 5'9 190lbs. Serge was 3 inches taller and only 10lbs heavier.
 
Actually serge nubret was 212lbs. in contest weight and frank zane is listed at 185lbs. Also his chest makes him look much more powerful IMHO.

It all depends on what look you desire. Personally I like the lean but musclar build. Thats why Zane is my favorite. But to say the guy is built like a pussy? come on now.

Frank Sepe HAD a good body, but now he looks like a little bitch. He looked good when he was on the cover of Muscle Mag International's Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding.

Damn, its easy to forget how big arnold really was! What a monster. I don't think his legs were small, just not as big as todays top BB's. Arnolds body was pretty close to perfect.

he is just so preportional,dosent have the steroid addict look you know the extrudeing gh gut,bloated look.i would much rather look like sepe than any of the top 10 heavyweight pros.jmho.dont like the freak look but preportionaite,lean,greek god look.
 
Arnold for sure! His legs were somewhat out of proportion with his upper body, but they were athletic looking. He had the Beefed-up athletic look.....not the super beefed-up freakish look of todays bodybuilders. And the separation between his muscles was amazing!
 
In the 'Who do I admire' catagory, I usually look to the powerlifters over the bodybuilders any day. As a group, they just seem to be nicer people and that's what counts for me. Sorry that I just 'took it to Oprah' but wanted to add my two cents. And BTW, if I had to choose a bodybuilder, I would choose Paris. When he would hit a pose and smile for the camera, it never seemed forced. Thanks.

Bob Paris had a really nice physique, despite his being gay. I like the aesthetic size like him, Zane and Flex Wheeler.
