Who uses Detox pads?

I just bought Detox pads that you use on the bottom of your feet at night. It is suppose to draw out the impurities in your organs. Has anyone used these?

I've seen those commercials and wondered if it was legit. Whats inside those pads? Is it just charcoal that reacts to the heat/moisture of your feet or what? It would be great if it worked but I am a skeptic.

Wow , thanks for your answers...

Some things can draw some toxins out of your lymph system, but I suspect those detox pads are crap.

The only detox method I can personally vouch for are baths with magnesium sulfate (Epson Salt) and baking soda. Some other things can also be added to the water to facilitate the detox effect, but the mag sulfate and sodium bicarb are the essential ingredients. In a normal sized bathtub, 4 cups of mag and one cup of bicarb in warm water (102-104 f). 30 to 40 minute soak. Exfoliate thoroughly first with a firm, dry brush first, or your results will be limited.

This works via the same method as any transdermal medication. Waste products (from the lymph system) can be drawn through the skin if the pores are open and a good conductor like mag sulfate is present.

I seen the commercial but I'm skeptical.

does a sauna/steam do the same thing or do you need something for a catalyst?

Heavy sweating will help remove some waste byproducts and heavy metals.

heavy metals not so much. They don't release from tissue that easily. You need to binder to grab them. You really need DMPS or EDTA for that. Chlorella taken on an empty stomach can help too for stuff that routinely gets mobilized in bile and ordinarily reabsorbed in the intestine.

Thanks Stilleto, I dont normally fall for things however I do want to live as long as I can..I would rather die in my sleep instead of dying from cancer and suffering, and if a pad can acomplish this then Im in.. Have a pleasant evening.
If you want to live a long time then exercise and consume no more than 1,500 Calories a day. :)
