Isnt the fastest way to getting alot K by making friends and giving and recieving hits?

I agree. All of the changes you've described have just added needless drama and distracted from the normal business of casual conversation. Seems like too many threads these days are meta-discussions about the message board and its rules, rather than good natured idle chat.
