Personally I drank for about 5 years...mostly in spurts, and yes I have driven drunk. I was a moron for doing so and after seeing that girls story, I will never let another person I know drive drunk again if I can help it.

I don't drink anymore BTW.

Severe drinker from 17-23...............I work in bars 2 sometimes 3 times a week now and I never have one. I drink cranberry juice and everyone says, "damn, you and those cran/vodkas. How are you sober after all of those?" I smile and laugh.

After pulling a whopping .26, yes .26, GPA last semester, loosing just about everything I worked so hard for physique wise, and pretty much loosing sight of my goals, I too have quit drinking. I have limited myself to going out twice a week and allowing myself only 2 drinks when i do go out. I get a lot of slack for not drinking anymore but I could give two shits about what anyone else thinks.

I used to drink a lot. Now I drink occasionally and when I do I will drink a lot. I have never driven drunk but after seeing that girls story I am thinking about starting.

Four year's ago I lost two friends on I-75 to a SLEEPY young man that attended U of T. He was driving back to school from Columbus after a long weekend! He fell asleep at the wheel killing my pals, Patty and Jerry instantly.

Sleep depravation can kill as well!

I stopped drinking a long time ago, it was way too unhealthy and I always ended up naked on some street crouched in a fetal ball. Plus it interfered with my heroin and pcp addictions. Nowadays I just take a couple shots to alleviate the edge before operating heavy construction machinery. It feels good living clean.

that is not the story of ALCOHOL destroying 4 lives. It is the story of an IRRESPONSIBLE PERSON destroying 4 lives.

Alcohol is not the enemy, but because of bullshit propoganda campaigns our legal system is heavy handed when dealing with drinkers and drinkers alone. They only care about the numbers on a fucking breathalyzer. And, maybe, if you are fucked up enough, what shows up in your urine.

People who fall asleep driving, people who drive while high, on medication they have been warned about are all irresponsible.
