who knows best?

hey guys, im a mma fighter and ive always been blessed with a good physique. my buddie on the other hand has not. ive been getting his cardio up but he needs some advise on whipping his body in shape. he is 27 about the same height as me 5'10" to 11" and kinda flabby. not a lard ass, just outa shape. what should he do as far as like abs, back, and mainly chest! keep in mind we are in a small town without a gym anywhere close. I have a small gym at my house with the basics: bench, squat, legg curl, curl bar, dumbells. what about diet? wat are some "trim you up kinda meals? I know this is alot to ask, but we could really use the help. thanks in advance...
 
20minutes morning cardio on an empty stomach will do a hatchet job on badyfat , an no late night snacking he needs at least a 12 hr fast before cardio
