Who is your favorite pro bodybuilder?

Flex Wheeler, Flex Wheeler, and Flex Wheeler.
Favorite active pro would be Jay Cutler. Not really for his physique, but for his dedication to the bodybuilding lifestyle.

Albert beckels ( sp ) has made me who i am today ... as a young boy i remember opening my first BB magazine and seeing those fucking baseballs under his skin pretending to be biceps .... I wanted a pair of those ever since

The 70's have some incredibly geneticly gifted BB'ers , at the time sergio olivier showed the world that big men would now dominate the sport of bodybuilding which still holds true today

arnold is by far my favorite, because he had the best body ever... like big but cut and perfectly proportioned... like u looked at him and it was pure perfection everything fit perfect....same with serge nubret...

i was never a fan of big louie or the bodybuilders today because they dont look appealing to the eye.... i have a lot of respect and from a powerlifting point of view they inspire me, but not on visual appeal...

however i recently watched the jay cutler tribute video and the guy is amazing... kkind of changing my views on current bodybuilders

should have won the O was more like it, the year he was standing next to Big Ron and pointing out his distended GH gut comapred to Kevin's wash board....oh well, :) politics

You like him enough for ALL of us, my good man :coffee:

I like melvin anthony, he bring excitment to the sport of bodybuilding. I remember when he guest posed at a local show I was at, it felt like I was at a concert watching him perform on stage.

As soon as I saw this thread I knew it would another attempt by Coldblue to find a fellow Stan McQuay obsessive.

What amuses me most is when he starts giving the blatant McQuay loving you KNOW the next post will be a despairing Italian Stallion.

Oh yeah- Arnie and Serge Nubret. Modern era... Levrone, Dillet.

Someone posted that there were loads of genetically gifted BBers in the 70s. But back then it was a minority sport. Now everyone goes to the gym at some point, all athletes use weights, more accessible training for BBers. You'd expect to tumble across good genetics far more ferquently. The 70 look has to be down to something else.

#1 ARNOLD
#2 TOM PLATZ
iam really all not all that into bodybuilding i like to train heavy with weights, but.... arnold is the legend of all time and his training was awesome but more than anything his recovery abilities were bar none, imo the reason why he was succesful A TRUE FREAK, with minimal aas usage, PLATZ had a pain threshold that is clearly unrivaled and has never even been challenged, nobody could hang with PLATZ in a squat workout and that my brothers, is real bragging rights!!!!

I have not been interested in any pros since arnold. Arnold had the best Physique of all time IMO. He was huge, yet did not look like a freak of nature.

why would u not like someone that looks like a freak. thats bodybuilding. how elite would it be if they were avarage looking guys that were big?

I believe he is the guy from fullblown. His parents both died of AIDS. Hence FullBlown. I think Levrone and Shawn Ray are my favs.

Was it the FLEX cover where he was wearing a dago tee and suspenders and holding a pool cue stick in front of a pool table?

I only wished that Shawn Ray would've won Mr.O. He's been bodybuilding for so long. I think it was his height that gave him problems.

Bob Paris. I wanna bump weenies with him.

I don't know about weenies lol :chomp:

but Bob Paris is by far one of the best looking bodybuilders out there.

You got that right Mr. X. It's ashame he was part of the 80's era. Rumor has it that he was denied at so many shows because he is gay. Damn shame considering todays guys do stuff like pose for pay, etc. Bob Chic claims he is the next Steve Reeves. He needs a reality check. Bob Paris was the only man close to that.

dorians the man, levrone, and priest, but dorian hands down. yeah levrone had some good music, was that his song that he posed to on his last olympia

I've heard and read the same thing. He was denied a lot of opportunities because of his sexual orientation. Completely wrong thing to do! IMO, too many can't look past their bias to greatness - Bob Paris was an amazing bodybuilder.

when he first hit the scene he looked phenomenal, and he always looks the same. is he still competing? if so, that's longevity!
