do you know if there is one that specifically focuses on paper or pens? specifically companies that make/sell paper like in notebooks, or daily planners. and pens like cross, monte blanc, bic, etc.

I'd like to buy a lot of them if so.

Fidelity has a Woodchip fund and a ink stain fund, that's as close as your going to get to a full blow paper and pen fund....you are living in la la land.

why la la land? this is actually a very serious post.
I just read an article and I was swayed by it.

Happy...research the companies that make the paper and pens and then find out which funds invest in those companies. I doubt there is any fund out there that focuses on just paper and pens. Most funds are too diverse. It might take some time and effort but you should be able to find one that invests in what you're looking for.

I e-mailed my best friend that is an investment banker and haven't heard back from him yet.

I didn't expect that there'd be one specifically just paper and pens - but I thought perhaps there were some broad fields that perhaps they might fall into beyond just large cap, small cap, telcom, whatever.

Happy -- you are a funny m/f. Even if you're not trying to be??

If you are serious, you probably want to look into sector funds. I think you should be able to find a paper sector fund. Pens... well, you're probably SOL. Individual stocks there.

hahaha

I take it you don't read Wired.
I was going through my mags last night while I couldn't sleep and ran across an old article. they were saying paper and pens are the next big thing and I was laughing my ass off. then they explained why and I was fucking blown away.
I'll get about $10K coming in soon from a side project I was doing and I was gonna blow it all, but now I'm pretty sure where I'll be putting it.

okay - this is actually the retard question - if I wanted to buy a stock that is on the Sweedish exchange - how would I do so? I've always delt with US shit, so I never looked very far into this.
I know that the exchange rates come into play which makes it more of a pain in the ass....

seriously though, I was blown away by this article and I know my tech shit well, so it isn't easy to blow me away. I got on the web and thought about trying to get a job at this company and moving to sweeden.

fucking amazing.

this isn't really the internet. you could argue it sort of is - but it is a future use.
