Who here is pretty experienced with Excel?

its been years since i really used it properly but why dont you just ask away

its worth a shot.

ok heres an snapshot of the data

this is problem #1 btw

113063

115271

114349

118458

125297

Notice there are two spaces between each entry. How can i make all the data come row after row, rather then two rows between each entry?

You can left-click on the row right under 113063, hold down CTRL, and select the other rows that you wish to remove. Then right-click on one of the highlighted rows, choose Delete, and tell it to Shift Cells Up (or down).

A quick way for lots of data? I don't know. I'd have to look it up.

let me add that the spaces in the data need to be added to the entrys, in a series such as b2+b3+b4, so that in other cases where data is present, is added in groups of 3, and transferred into one cell, in a series going throughout the data. its complicated and hard to express in literature.

that would do the trick, except for what i added, which i left out. the spaces need to be added to the entries, and transferred to single cells. This is due to other data where the gaps are entries as well.

Makes no sense chief. If you can word it then I can help you, but my best guess now is that you're looking to either a) append shit or b) add shit.

If you're appending, this formula would work:

=B2&B3&B4

If you're adding, this formula would work:

=SUM(B2:B4)

Ok on the right track, but the problem im getting with that, is that it extends the series on number, rather than three. For example the first field will have "SUM(B2:B4)" and the next "SUM(B3:B5)," when i need it to be "SUM(B5:B7)."

Catch my drift?

Don't really understand exactly what you're trying to do.

Do you want to use a formula on the cells with numbers only, while maintaining the spaces between the cells?

If so, use the autofilter option under the Data lookup and filter out the 'blank' cells. It doesn't delete them, it just filters them out when calculating a particular fromula.
