who has tattoo's?

2 soon to be 3, one is a irish flag with a clover in the center,and the other is a celtic clover, my next will be a celtic cross with a claddagh in the center

i have my last name which is 9 letters long starting right under my arm pit and goes down my side to the bottom of my hip bone. there isnt many other places where it hurts more than the spots this covers. you just need to go to your happy place when its being done, and life seems a bit more interesting everyday after.

Depends on the spot where you'll be inked, and your tolerance for pain. It's a bunch of needles injecting ink just below the surface of the skin at pretty fast speeds. I've seen a guy about 6'1" 220 get up every 5 minutes when he was getting a tattoo in between his shoulder blades. A friend of mine is pretty small, 5'4" 130, and sat through an entire session without getting up once for the tattoo in the same spot where the bigger guy got his or for the one he got on his kidney.

All depends on the person and the location.

Getting a bad sunburn and then rubbing it with sandpaper. Good news is that as soon as the needle stops - the pain stops. I have 6 and my last was done on my inner bicep up to the armpit. There were a few involuntary twitches that made the tattooist uneasy.

mine is going on my back in between my shoulder blades.. it starts at the bottom of my neck. 7" long about 5 wide. It's an italian tarot card design that was drawn up by an artist I know.
 
I've just had my first one done, a celtic band around my left bicep, I have to go back for the coloring but I don't know what color to have yet, I have seen some good ones with the inside colored green.

that's what happened to me, I was dripping with sweat!
 
I have 5 tatts,my first one is the ironmaiden mascot(evil eddie)wich is on the side of my head.I also have some on my arms and legs,mainly skulls & grim reapers and some celtic.They are very addictive and the only thing holding me back from being coated is the cost.Most of them are of the wall designs but in the future I will be looking to get some custom work done.I try to keep them protected from the sun because they have faded dramatically due to the constant outdoor exposure.

Yeah,sun srcreen really helps and also I got most of my tatts when I was 16 and quality of the pigment(ink)has come along way since then.
 
I have a Pooh Bear on my ankle in color. I want to get a lower back tattoo but I think they are too common now. But I think they improve anyone. And I think it's really cute when guys get there kids name or image tattooed on them.
 
I'm going to get one on my neck too, so you can just see it when I wear a t-shirt, similar to the one Pharrell has and if I do want to hide it then I can just wear a shirt with a collar.
 
I have two, one is two stars intersecting on my shoulder and the other is flame looking energy thing, was custom done and goes from my shoulder up and across my upper back

There is never a reason to get a tattoo removed in my opinion. It should stand as a reminder of who you were and where you came from. Even if I hated my tatts I wouldn't have them removed or covered just because I deserve whatever memory is attached to that tat.
 
I Have Two. One On My Chest And One Across My Back The Length Of My Shoulders. The One On My Back Has My Daughters Name, B-day, Surrounded By Two Dragons On Each Side.
 
im considering a band around my right bicep but not sure if i actually want to get it... so to be safe might just get a small one on my forearm for startersz

The forearm isn't some place you want to start with tattoos unless you don't mind every one seeing it. I have a tat on my forearm and I wear short sleeves 90% of the time. It's my USMC one though, and I don't really mind if potential employers or people in general know/knew that I serve(d).

Upper arms, back, chest, and shoulders are generally kept covered up. Keep in mind you can't expose the tattoo to the sun for the first few weeks of recovery. Forearm tats are difficult to keep covered if you're like me. I got mine done during cold SOP, and the tat didn't see the sun for months.

Well, after working in a tattoo shop for 3 years and accruing 13 including a full back piece and some pretty intricate work I could give you some advice on them if you really want it. A few major points:
Avoid cheesy pop symbols - you never know if you'll like Tweety bird or playboy down the road and it just looks white trash when you are 40 walking around with cartoons on you.
Avoid bf/gf names: removal is just much more expensive than tattoos themselves and if you aren't married, or even if you are - man, you just never know. We've had more people come into the shop to cover names up than absolutely anything else.
Don't pick out flash on the wall - get your own piece designed. Everyone has those pictures on the wall that has no taste and doesn't realize 1,000 people have the same tattoo because flash is sold country wide by producers, not just to one tattoo shop. Custom work is usually more expensive if the tattoo shop doesn't just have a flat hourly rate, but you'll be MUCH happier with it in the long run.
No band symbols or names - big mistake.
If you are a professional avoid tattoos in places that may affect your job.
*** Everyone has that stupid celtic arm band - be original please, us ladies do not all think its hot, its incredibly unoriginal for expensive artwork (celtic knotwork = terribly expensive tattoos) and btw - the underarm is one of the worst places to get a tattoo in the first place.
Really when you get a tattoo its on you forever so get something thats meaningful, that nobody else has on their body, and isn't cheesy white trash, I think I'm a porn star or a member of Megadeath garbage and you should be ok.
Remember finally that everyone's answer to not getting a tattoo is that you'll hate it when you hit 80. If you live to 80 congrats in the first place but just remember, if you're going to get one, and you're going to hate it, at least know that its original and not something you went out and got when you were wasted (tattoo shops that are reputable won't get ya when you are drunk anyways or you'll bleed out) or because your friends thought it was a good idea.
I have a lot of tattoos, never considered getting one removed. Its all about thinking things out, knowing what is important to you in life (REALLY important - not a love for Bugs Bunny) and keep in mind good ones cost $$$$, they are there forever, and if its big - may take more than 1 sitting. Research your tattoo, research the shop, and don't listen to what people TELL you to get, think of what you like, talk to the artist, and have him/her draw something for you.

DO NOT TAN WITH TATTOOS - in the sun, use lots of sunscreen on it and go crazy, do not use indoor tanning beds. You will not see immediate problems with your tattoo but eventually the black will look greyish and the colors will start to kinda blend - plus everything fades to shit. Use sunscreen outdoors like I said though and you'll be fine there. Same with in the pool, make sure it has sunscreen on it.
