Who has tattoos?? Who likes 'em and who hates 'em and why??

I love tattoos on guys, but only if it's one or a few small ones, not all over the arms or body or anything like that! And not like one that says 'Mom' or a heart with some girl's name in it (unless it's your daughter). And if you've got 'em, post pics!!!

What do you guys think about tattoos on women? And where? I don't have one....yet....but I'm thinking about getting a small one in the middle of the small of my back...or on my ankle one of these days.
 
Feeling talkative SG??? and when you say you have several....do you mean on your self or in your private collection? :lmao:

As far as tattoos on women, if the tattoo is small it's ok.
I have a friend who has several on her back and arms, and I just think they are too much.
 
I have several on myself polarpixie, but when I feel the need for changing my drapes, then I find someone with a lot of ink. Gives the room some decor.
 
Tattoos--I like them. On both guys and girls...they are your own chosen permanent expression of youself.

And, Yes....I have one. :)
 
6 of them around $2000 later... I'm still not done. My first was around 20 some years ago! They were a lot cheaper then!

It is on the tip of my right shoulder blade.

When I was in the advertising/graphic art program we were to deisign a logo that would be placed on all of our art work instead of a signature. This logo was suppose to be a representation of yourself. This is what my tattoo is of. Basically, it is a triangle shape, in which each side is formed from the shape of a nautical square knot. They are then tied at each of the corners. It is hard to explain. 2 colors...basic simple....red and black. If I get a good pic..I will post it.
 
I have 2.......a ring of daisies around my ankle and a ying yang symbol around my belly button but instead of it being black and white for representation of good and evil it is red and blue to represent fire and ice.

got my husbands name tatooed on my wedding finger...I know, just like Pamela and Tommy Lee...we like it..get compliments ALL THE TIME on it...no more for me though...I dont like alot on a girl
 
Most people now days get tattoos because it's the "cool" thing to do.

Not disrespecting that at all, it's just a trend and nothing wrong with expressing yourself.

You just have to be careful with all that hepititus A, B, and C. Tattooing is the most common way of spreading the disease. My sister-in-law works for a plasma firm and she told me that is a fact.
 
Like everything else in life....you take your chances.


But just to ask a question, if the needle is sterilized, is their still a chance?
 
I have two tattoos right now. On my lower back, on the right side, I have a blue moon with three little stars. And on my lower right hip I have a shooting star design. I have always been a huge fan of tattoos, and was actually thinking about getting my entire back done. So far, that hasn't gotten raving reviews from my friends. I am however going to get a few more, an angel on my upper left shoulder blade, and an angel on my shoulder kinda thing on the front of my right shoulder.
 
Well I like tatoos on some guys and I think they are really cool. I really appreciate art, however I would never get one. I dunno why I just have no desire.. I'm not scared of needles cause I do have my tongue peirced and i am thinking about getting my nipples done this summer but than takeing them out after a month of so.. I guess the biggest reason is that i dont want something perminent, peircings i can always take out and its no biggy....

Also I dont really care for tatoos on girls, sometimes they are ok in the lower back area but thats about it...
Sorry girls :) thats just my opinion.....
 
I got one a few years ago, and I still think it's pimp. I want another one, but can't think of anything really. If I didn't have to work, I'd get a scorpion on the top of my hand, wrapping around to the thumb and index finger, or a lightning bolt running above and under my eye, but alas, society sucks.

I was thinking about something lightning related for the side of my upper leg. Something kind of like a Yin-Yang, with a lightning bolt striking through the middle, but I can't decide what to put on each side (no, I don't really want a yin-yang). In jest, I was thinking pot leaf and mug of beer, but I don't think I could seriously do that. I think it should be two "opposites" or parts of something. I thought maybe plant and animal, but what animal? Arrgh, this is why I only have this one on my right shoulder blade:

Polarpixie, I have one of my daughters name and nickname with her birthdate on it. Its a sun. everything revolves around the sun, Thats why I did it. I LOVE tattos on girls!!!! HOT!!!

I have 5 tattos... small ones.. I am gonna get more too.. but none below the middle of my bi's... I still like to look like I do not have any.
 
Madd Hatter, that is one crazy mad tattoo! Awesome! It reminds me of a crop circle and Michaelangelo at the same time.
 
Kahn, I think that is so sweet. That is someone you know will be in your life forever that you need to treasure.
(Yes, moms are to be treasured too, but I just don't know about that one as a tat....;) )...

well i have no tatoos myself. i dont have the skin for it :D

but i love small hidden tatoos on women. on the lowe part of the abs for instance, or the lower back..thats sexy as hell
 
I have one.....small arm band. The thing about it though, is it was done on September 10th of this year, and with the events that happend on the 11th..........whenever I look at it, I reflect on that day. Kind of like my rememberance. I cannot post pics....so maybe I'll make a new avatar?
 
I love em. I have 4. Big one on my r. calf (dragon), big one on my shoulder/back(dragon w/rose), 2 little ones on my left ankle( a frog on one side and a tribal and rose on the other). I'm an ink junkie!!! I want just a few more. I'm not into having tattoos cover my body. Most of mine are easily covered, except the one on my calf.

You get a tattoo for meaning, ya know....every tattoo I have, I can tell you where I was, who I was with, and what was going on in my life.
 
I have a little black and white sun on my very lower back. The white ink looks nifty when I'm really tan. I have a dragonfly on my upper butt/almost lower back. It's black, purple, white, and pink....looks nifty. I have a small flower (a little bigger than a quarter with 6 leaves) in the front-- like the bikini area. I think that one is really different but it hurt like hell.

I had my nipples pierced for a year or so but I took the rings out around a month ago. That hurt like hell. Not to take them out, but to get them done. It makes my tummy turn every time I think about it. I still have a belly ring. That didn't hurt though. Even in a swim suit my tats aren't visible. I can pull down the top of my jeans and show them to to people (except the floral) but otherwise they're just for me. No regrets either.

I have one of a dragon on my left pec. It's about six inches long and maybe 2 inches wide, it's a badass tatoo in my opinion. Got it so that me and my buds would be forever the best of friends. We got inked on my buddies b-day, two days before his wedding.

I wanna get another one on my shoulder blade or delt. I was thinking of a dragon clutching an American Flag or a dragon that looks like it's climbing up my body with the claw prints ripping the skin, i'm not sure. if there are any artist's out there, draw me up some and if I like it I'll pay ya for it.

I have a frog tattoo on my right shoulder blade. I'm going soon to have it recolored before summertime. I would also like another one shortly, which will go down my spine, it will be my name in my Armenian language.
 
I have 6 tats...my next one will be from the bottom of my neck all the way down to just above the elbow....(tribal design)...kinda like the one on the movie "from Dust till Dawn"

I have a small one on my back that I got at the ripe old age of fourteen. I hate it, because I can't wear backless dresses without looking weird, but I like the design. It's a small ankh. It's faded all to hell, though.
 
Yep, got a dragon(celtic) on my back, huge fucker. Does'nt look so good since I was in a bike accident a few years ago.... scared up big time. When I get a mo I will have it touched up.

Both arms and shoulders are decorated down to the elbow on me. Nothing on the inside arms yet though. I also have a huge tribal diamond on my back that goes from the tips pf my rear delts and tapers to the center of my spine.

I have a black panther tattooed on my right ass cheek. Almost covers up the entire cheek.

I do have a pic of it, but I can't post it until I get home.

If I do anything other inking, I would like to add blood drops from the panther claws, like the panther is drawing blood from my ass.
 
ying yang... very low on my back, right side...

represents balance... in all good there's bad, in all bad there's good... not sure where i fit in :p

if i get another one i think i'll get a barcode on my ankle
