LoL Going from a bodypart split to something like an upper/lower split can be quite a change (for the better, IMO). The training philosophy is different. The plan is not to decimate each bodypart once a week. The plan is to stimulate several times a week. And, since it's a "dual factor" program, you'll push hard enough to get close to overtraining, then you'll back off and experience a spring-like effect, whereby your new found "fitness" gains are revealed. Long story short, it's a different type of training. The theory is very sound. DFHT isn't necessarily a 'beginner' program though. Every program is valuable, but not necessarily valuable for every single person at every single stage of their lifting career.
