you do seem closer to al bundy polk high syndrome than anyone I've ever me on the internet or otherwise... do you think this has anything to do with it? honestly, not being a dick. you really are proud of and mention a lot how you used to play football and how good you were at your position.biteme said:Most days are good, but sometimes even the medicine doesn't work and I just want to get a running start, lower my head and run thru a brick wall.No wonder I seek out violent sports, but yet I'm not out to hurt anyone.

I don't remember which position you played because what you did on the field never really mattered for anything but I do know it was very important in a certain way to you and that is important, for your psyche.

I've been dealing with anxiety for years (and depression). I've never seen a doc but usually use exercise as my outlet. For the past 2-3 years I found that GABA helps.

stop stressing him out. suck his peepee when you awake in the morning and you can cut his stress drugs in half within a week. don't even wait for him to wake up just start and finish and then let him go back to sleep. if you love him.Smurfy said:eh my husband has it. he only takes it at night thought when he needs to wind down before sleeping. but he also takes ambien lol and lexapro, dextroamphetamine and vyvans. crap he takes a lot of drugs.

Can't you all find SOMETHING to be happy about? Friends, family, pussy, etc. Go volunteer and help some folks who are worse off than you, then see how much you have to be grateful for.

My hubby is kinda the same way except he hasn't mastered the part about doing it without drugs. He needs the klonopin AND stimulants.....and then a few others.calveless wonder said:i get anxiety all the time, but i've established it as a normal part of life. just get accustomed to it and try to think more rationally, and recognize when it's occuring. change your breathing, physiology and state
i feel it and act through it alot of the time, and it dissipates once i confront whatever i'm anxious about.
stimulants actually make me a little anxious but kinda clear my head and help me focus and offset my ADHD..weird relationship.
i used to get paralyzing anxiety, and still kinda do...but i don't think people are taught how to deal with anxiety without drugs. it's possible
a majority of people self induce their anxiety with their thinking or decisions

juicing doesn't help.biteme said:Is that how it is for you? I remember when I first started having symptoms, I thought I had some serious neorological disease.. The myriad of symptoms all hit at once: high blood pressure, concrete block sensation on the chest, tingling in arms and legs, sometimes arm would go dead when lifting, constant terrible feeling in my head, like I was about to fucking explode and I couldn't make it stop no matter how hard I tried, laying awake all night in bed unalbe to sleep a fucking wink even though I wasn't consciously worried about anything, gagging and choking sensations, the development of a stutter at the age of 31, etc, etc. Not a fun thing at all. Maladaptive or chemical imbalance that needs correction with medication, either way, I'll go with the medication because it improved life significantly.
HumanTarget said:juicing doesn't help.
you're kidding me, right? you're telling me you don't think juice effects the brain? it does, and i'm sure you're aware of it. remember how nice it felt being on? physical will always effect mental. and vice versa....and if he wasn't juicing, he woulda never did what he did....biteme said:I don't juice and it if anything HRT helps. I had these symptoms when I was completely clean which was for years. All that bullshit is media hype. Steroids do not cause people to act like Chris Benoit. Their attitude does and the fact that he had brain damage.

i was on meds for a couple of years. i'm not taking anything currently and don't see much of a difference. i'm just very aware of my states & levels of agitation. i do enjoy being a bit of an asshole, it serves mankind well....nefertiti said:Maybe in some cases but not in mine. I resisted any diagnosis or anything that indicated I'd need meds for years. The day I started taking cymbalta was life changing for me as far as my ability to help myself. A diagnosis wasn't an answer or an excuse, but a jumping off point. Cymbalta gave me just enough of a lift for me to do the rest of the work myself.
it seems so convenient. $$$Smurfy said:I wonder if people living in 3rd world nations like the jungles of africa and the like suffer from anxiety and depression as we do here in civilized society lol i mean they surely do not have access to any healthcare or medications. how do they cope?

blueta2 said:smurf, this may sound crazy, but tribal people have many exceptional herbal remedies for their ailments.
I watched a National Goegraphic show once about a tribe (forgot from where but not Africa) that has so many tinctures for their illnesses. Depression was one. They also talked about how little illness they face since they are not exposed to as many chemicals and eat a better diet and are always in motion (exercise)
They didn't talk of bi polar of course. But this tribe has little insomina, sickness, depression, anxiety, cancers etc.
