Lately just been hating going to the gym. Wish I could take a week off from all this but I am going to Cancun in like 3 weeks. Anyone ever start hating to go to the gym? It used to be a part of me and used to love going but now its like going to work.

its called overtraining...lack of motivation etc...just take a few days off or lower training volume and do more cardio instead

Hey wizkid, i heard you were a fat little 14 year old girl who was lesbian and plays softball and molests her teammates in the locker room.

Man bro, I have been into this since 1987, and have experienced everything at least once.

My advice, take five days off in a row, stay tight on the diet, you will grow during the time off, your muscles will not atrophy, and you will still have two weeks of tight workouts to finish the job. Sometimes taking time off can make you look better than staying on, and when you get back, you will gett those killer pumps again, and that should help.

Remember, the key is to stay tight on the diet, so that you have the nutrition to recover, but not so many calories as to gain any fat. THEN as your body catches up on it's muscle recovery, ( whitch takes energy to do) you will use whatever few calories you might have to build back up, and that will keep you tight.

Plus cancun is one hell of a motivation for the last two weeks.

Best of bro. E:beer:

Yea dude just take a week off. After that remember you are doing for the chicks, the best reason in the world to workout! And since you are, join a wussy gym with alot of women to look at that will motivate you to get your butt to the gym. :D

right now i'm hating it too. i just have SO much shit going on i barely have time to sleep, much less concentrate on lifting.

i want to take a week off and catch up on my other shit, but i don't think i'll be able to do that.

I hate not working out.

you might be overtraining, take a week or two off and eat only twinkies and donuts and then go back and hit the right diet and weights and you will have a renewed level of commitment and intesity. and you will not want twinkies nor donuts for awhile.

There will always be some times when you can't be bothered or don't feel like it, but I try to just ignore them. This usually only happens every now and again when it puring with rain and I can't be bothered to get out of bed and always goes away when I get to the gym. :)

Unfortunately it rains a fair bit in the UK.

When I hit the I HATE WORKING OUT days I take my body to the gym and hope that my mind follows. But sometimes its ok to take a few days to recover. Or may be you are deppressed because you are going to Cancun Ha! Ha! Ha! just kidding.:FRlol:

this is the biggest break i've taken from lifting. been lifting for maybe 2 and 1/2 years only but still, big break. i went to cancun and start hanging out with some girl again. its all down hill from here. never gonna make the mr. o like this:(

I'm a bit burned out now mostly becasue I'm not as strong as I used to be. Once I get back up to where I was my motivation will increase.

word....<sigh>

i actually like a bit of light rain...keeps things cool in temp.

but my gyms roof leaks

I'm feeling a bit down as well right now.
Lower back pain just went from annoying, to interfering.
I'm backing down on the Squats and lower back weights in hopes it is a cronic strain that will go sway.
3 months ago the Dr. said LS strain but didn't take X-rays.
If it doesn't heal, I'll demand them to be sure it's just a strain.

the routine of working out and its results, love it. If i dont work out or do some form of excercise, i feel like a slob. The actual act of working out. in most cases, i could do without it. Its work, therefore i don't enjoy it, because there is always something better i could be doing then hard work. But hey that is life and it doesn't phase me. Its worth it.
