who does some cardio on thier off days? WHILE BULKING?

Since its summer time, my GF wants to hit the GYM. The Gym i go to is 24hrs, so its easy to get there.

but now my GF is enthusiast to join, either to check out the other women(her competition lol) or to tone up. Its def to tone up, but she has hidden agenda's lol

So im doing a 3 day split.

Mon/Wed/Fri

I hit my chest yesterday and biceps too.

Now she want to come to the gym, i lift decently heavy so its going to be annoying switching back and forth. PLUS im going to have to ber her personal trainer for a bit so no muscle bound mofo starts hitting on her lol

im going to have her do bodyweight excersises just starting off. But since i know the key to weight loss is Cardio + Diet, i will have her be doing more cardio then lifting right now.

Im bulking, i figure i would run w/ her to keep her in sight for the first few weeks. to make sure she doesnt cheat herself, etc.

would running on off days be bad? I dont run after lifting because i want to keep as much muslce as possible, but would running 45mins w/o lifting be bad for gains?

SHIT ill even have a Preworkout shake of whey/malt if it would help preserve muscle.

Im actually running to keep her company and build endurance and good cardiovascular health. NOT FAT LOSS.

Any good Bros out there have any recomendations/ comments?
 
I usually do cardio on my off days to keep my BF low and my heart healthy. I also find I sleep better at night if I worked out during the day.

That said - It depends on your goals - bulking / cutting as to the duration and intensity of the workout. You mentioned that you are bulking so I would suggest you keep cardio under 30 minutes on your off days and workout at 70% of your peak heart rate. Also, alternate your cardio and do treadmill day one, elliptical day two, bike day three, etc.
 
Yeah cardio sucks but you gotta do it - especially when bulking. Nothing is worse than being out of cardiovascular shape when cutting season rolls around.
 
I wouldnt reschedule your routine around her.

Encourage her, but once she sees you're not being hit on by booty-short wearing college hotties all the time she'll realize it's safe to let you play at the gym and stop coming :)

cardio while bulking is a good idea.. 30 mins moderate to keep fat off

YEA, found out its because she realy wants to work out, she could care less about me in the gym.

yep i have her around MY routine, i cant change it for her, sorry, but its still my stress relief time.

But i only workout Mon/Weds/Thurs HARD AS FUCK! So there are days where im doing nothing so i can do some cardio or hit the sauna up while she does the cardio.

i do cardio 2-3 days a week on my non training days...

nothing super high intensity, cause i don't want my legs to get spent for my next squat workout... just enough to promote active recovery...

makes me feel better all day long too if i do it...
