or are they not suppossed to but do anyways?

i am asking bc i asked the chief the other day if being a paramedic if i were to go to swat school or whatever to become a swat medic and become cert'd would i be able to carry a gun? he said no as you need to go thru our accrediting agency (the city) or something to get them to let you? i didnt really follow him

not that i'd want to, i just found it ironic

my buddy wants to be a swat medic here in Ontario, and he says they get a sidearm but nothing like the real swat members get

yea u can carry a gun while performing swat duties obviously, but i was wondering about regular medic duty

Most bodyguards that protect the stars are either off-duty cops or guys that used to be cops (in many states, former law enforcement can -easily- get CCW permits).

UHHHHH

The consitutution of the United States???

"The Constitution shall never be construed to authorize Congress to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms." -Samuel Adams, debates & Proceedings in the Convention of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, 86-87.

"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -Thomas Jefferson, Proposal Virginia Constitution, 1 T. Jefferson Papers, 334 (C.J. Boyd, Ed., 1950).

Depends on the state you live in.

Most states that allow CCW, also allow open carrying. Meaning if the gun is in clear view, you can carry it.

I have an AZ CCW, it has reciprocity in like 12 states, prolly your best bet if you travel often. But, most states require a written exam and a field exam.
