White T-Shirts and Armpit Stains

Goddammit, I had this perfect white t-shirt, you know, the kind you wear and it always makes you feel BIG in. I pullled it out the other day and I noticed that the damn armpits were turning yellow, stained from deodorant, anti-perspirant, or just maybe my rancid sweat.

WTF? Is there a anti-deodorant that won't ruin your damn clothes? This is like the thrid "best" shirt I've had to reduce to car rag.

GQ keeps saying it's the metals (zinc & aluminium?) in the deodorant that oxidise to cause the stains. The only non-stain deodorants use tea-tree oil instead of metals, but they're a lot more expensive.
And no, I don't know of any manufacturers, google it.
