White hair at young age

Why do some people have so much white hair in their early twenties or eveny late teens? I remember one guy in HS who had a LOT of white hair on his head. I also have a good amount of white hair on the back of my head.

I was known to have white nasal hairs and a partially white mustache at times back in my late teens. I usually just wiped it off when someone told me about it.
