is my ceiling fan supposed to be rotating? if you were to lay on the floor underneath of it, which way should it go? ya know how you have it spin one way for winter and one way for summer? well, i don't remember if i switched it or not, so i switched it, and now i'm really unsure.

thanks.

I don't like running the fan during the winter, and you won't either unless you put on some clothes.

lol, crak you must be setting yourself up on purpose, at least make it a little harder for RADAR lmao

i never ran it much in the winter. occasionally when cooking really large meals and the kitchen got excessively hot, but i switched the fan direction to help circulate that heat. our kitchen is one of the coldest rooms in the house.

comeon, someone has to konw. i'm getting dizzy laying under the fan and then comign back to check for replies.

Dang! Thats why that switch is there --the blades will wear running one way all the time....

not quite. it pushes the air differently depending on which way it's spinning. so one way helps to move cool air, the other way helps to move warm air.

Look at the blades and the direction it spins. If it trailing edge of the blade is facing downwards, then the air will be pushed down.

hey, i figured it out! when i balanced the fan, it's perfect in "summer" mode, but in the "winter" setting, if you put it on high speed it wobbles ever so slightly.

guess i had it going the right way after all.

i'm fuckin dizzy as shit still. i think i'm gonna go puke now.
