I don't think either is appropriate for a job interview. Try going with a lighter colored shirt and a more sedate tie. I love the look of a dark blue shirt, but not for a job interview.

and I would have told you to wear the one on the left. Actually I was going to ask the age and the sex of the person interviewing you before I said anything. My grandpa would not dig either tie but a friend of mine would have been wondering what you would look like with only the tie and nothing else on - ya just never know who will be doing the hiring these days.
