Which routine? 5x5 or DFST

I would go with the 5x5, you are still a new lifter. the 5x5 will help you train and push the core lift numbers up.

They are both solid training methods. Stick to a 5x5-type layout and build your base strength.

You need to read some more though. These are a lot more than "routines." DFHT . . . the "dual factor" part tells you something. IMHO, it's more of an advanced layout and you don't need that volume unless you can't grow without it. Read madcow's geocities site (linked in the training vault sticky).
