Which is more catabolic?

I know this may be a very simple question to most expericenced bodybuilders, but I'm still new in the game and very uneducated on a few things. Anyway, heres the problem.

I just started college and work a part-time job, so my schedule is very fucked up with little time. I have just enough time to my workouts in the evening after work. The problem is I dont have time to do any A.M. cardio. So my last option is to do cardio at the gym while I'm training. Which is more catabolic, before lifting or after lifing??? In other words, what would you guys suggest, do cardio before lift or after I lift?

Any feedback is appreciated!!!

Thanks

Glycogen stores will be depleted post workout, so any cardio you do will be more catabolic.

Pre workout is less catabolic, but I think that doing cardio before you lift impedes muscle growth as well, in that you won't be lifting from a fresh state. In other words, you won't be able to lift as much having just completed a bunch of cardio.

I totally agree. . . good work!

Gymtime's got it right-- It all depends on your goals bro. If you wish to burn bodyfat but maintain muscle mass-- I would mainuplate your diet and hit the weights hardcore with NO cardio before or afterwards.

I find that the most effective way to shred off a few pounds is by simply changing your diet-- afterall your body IS a fat burning machine-- cardio will make it more effective, but the key thing is to stay active and eat right bro.

If your sole goal is bodybuilding, there's no need for cardio. It might be easier to just not do it and restart when your schedule clears up.
