hey iron brothers, i've been working out for 4yrs and always worked out 4sets 4reps 2body parts per day(old school baby) but, recently reading MD mag i started thinking about changing my work out routine, i recently been doing volume training and its working great but i want to know what you iron brothers think 5x5 or volume training for me, my stats are 6'0 223lbs 10% bulking on test E,

thanks brothers

What is "volume training" when you say that?

By definition every training program has some level of volume (intensity and frequency being the other defining variables - the three will describe and parameter all training programs).

There are multiple variants of 5x5, in general volume is increased with the lifter's experience level. But then again the frequency of planned progression is lowered so best to get in the fastest lane possible and only move over when you have to (advanced programs are needlessly hard (or undoable) and slow for those that don't need them).
