which is a better stack test/deca or test/EQ?

These are not similar cycles, they will not yield similar results..
Sheer Mass: Deca
Quality LBM: EQ
Deca will tend to leave you a bit more watery, which is no big deal.
And 300mg/wk Deca is not a waste, alot of people grow fine on this amount, especially with yellow tops or Normas, which are also top notch.
Personally, I never exceed 300mg/wk, but people are different.
You want the classic corvette cycle, I'll give it to ya:
Wk1-4:30mg Dbol/ed
Wk1-10:300mg Deca/wk
Wk1-12:500mg/test

thats my next cycle...cept its 450 deca and 50 mg dbol a day

if you do go for the EQ...then i'd definately go with at least 500mg/week. preferably around 600 or 700.
