Which do you think is better: The o.g. Texas Chainsaw Massacre or the remake?

The first one was far and above better. It made sense that the killers were just desensitized from years of slaughtering animals and stuff. The second one had no character development and didn't even begin to explain why people were being killed. It was purely an unexplained gore fest. You hardly even got the plotline that the people were related. Plus, there was more creepy tension in the first one. You can't even compare the two movies.

There have been some godawful ones. I just watched #2 last night night and it cracked me up.
