Been using LA muscle whey,48g protein with added glutamine but everytime i drink it really upsets my stomach and make me feel quite sick, does anyone else get this from whey?
What type do you fellas use?

You might have a problem with lactose. you could try isopure or any 100% whey isolate. Or try taking the shake with some lactaid, this will help you digest it. If this doesn't help then maybe its just brand doesn't sit well with you. Is this the first whey you have tried?

I used to use other whey a few years back but cant remember how it affected me,just been taking all my protein from food until i bought this stuff, ill try what you said or if not just try a different brand.

Yeah, try the isolate and enzymes, and if that doesn't work, consider egg white protein powder as a substitute for whey. It's fairly rapidly digesting and very bioavailable and, of course, equally convenient since it's a powder. The only downside is that it's a bit more expensive than a whey protein blend (isolate and concentrate).

What makes me sick is that nasty Isopure Vanilla flavour...
Although I love the product, the flavor sux :)
Hello cynical :)

isopure is good stuff, if it didn't cost so much I could forget what I was drinking sometimes... never tried the vanilla though...

Allmax isoflex (cold, cross–flow microfiltered whey protein isolate) is way

better than isopure (Ion Exchange Whey Protein Isolate) from what i can see

didnt try it though.

Ion-exchanged WPI is denaturated and has lost a lot of beneficial properties of the

biologically active protein-fractions like immunglobulins, lactoferrin and others. It's

a "dead protein". ultrafiltered or cross-flow-microfiltrated Whey. both are processed in

a way that does not destroy the active protein fractions.

Yea, I'm also guessing Lactose, Cross flow is the method to get you the cleanest whey, protein wise at least. Or is it just this brand that is making you Ill ?

Look for a brand/type whey on the label with the lowest amount of carbohydrate, and you will probably have the one with the lowest amount of lactose.
Just to simplfy things.

The brand i'm using has 6g carbs per 60g,guess thats quite high compared to most.
My mates have diferent brands to me so ill have a sample of thier stuff to see if it is just the whey i'm using, thanks for the advice guys.
